Layer N

  • Do upto RN (Round N) of previous layer
  • R(N+1): ch 1, {N-1 dc, 1 dc inc} x 6, slst
  • R(N+2): ch 1, {1 sc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in BLO - all in one stitch), 1 sc } x (N+1)*3 , slst and fasten off

Icing (with white yarn)

  • slst the yarn in any sc of the last round, ch 6, slst in the next sc, Repeat this pattern - slst, ch 6, slst in the next sc all the way around the round. Once you reach the beginning, finish by slip stitching into the very first slst.
  • Do this for all the layers.

Assembly

  • Use craft glue to secure the layers together. Apply a small amount of glue at the peak of the bottom layer and gently press the top layer onto it. If you prefer a sturdier finish, you can also sew the layers together instead of using glue.
  • Once your tree is assembled, attach the bottom layer to a wooden stand using craft glue. This will give your crochet Christmas tree a neat, stable base and complete the look beautifully.
